Coronavirus (COVID-19) & Our Commitment to Patient Well-Being & Safety (read more)
On Monday March 23rd, 2020 Governor Jay Inslee issued a “STAY HOME – STAY HEALTHY” order for the citizens of Washington State. As part of the Healthcare Sector, Biosports Physical Therapy is considered an essential business. Our employees play an important role in the health and well-being of our patients and our community. Now more than ever, it is important to regain and maintain your physical health and function. Therefore, Biosports is open and accepting New Patients.
The health and safety of our employees and patients remain our top priority. We are diligently monitoring updates and will continue to follow the guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
These are the preventative measures we are taking to protect our patients and employees:
- Patient screening: All patients will be screened including temperature screening upon arrival of their appointment time to make sure they are not exhibiting symptoms. If a patient is presenting with COVID-19 symptoms or a temperature of 100° or higher, they will be advised to return home and contact their physician. If you have a fever, cough,
shortness of breath or other flu-like symptoms please do not come to your appointment. Please call to reschedule.
- Staff screening: All employees will be screened for COVID-19 daily. Those presenting any level of symptoms will return home and follow up with their physician before returning to work.
- Health hygiene protocols: Ongoing reinforcement to all staff regarding hand washing and other preventative measures for equipment and supplies are in place and being reinforced. We are asking all patients to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer for 20 seconds prior to starting their appointment. To minimize contact we are no longer asking patients to signin.
- Social Distancing: To minimize group sizes, we request that only scheduled patients come inside the office when at all possible. We have adjusted patient schedules to limit the amount of people in the clinic. We also ask that you arrive to your appointment at your scheduled time to limit waiting time in the lobby. If you prefer to not come to the office for your appointment please call and discuss the option to teleconference with your Physical Therapist.
Lastly, we are here to help! Please call us with any questions or any concerns you may have.
What is Biosports?
Biosports is a physical therapy clinic staffed with clinicians specially trained in orthopedic and sports medicine rehabilitation. Many of our therapists are Orthopedic Certified Specialists (OCS), and most of our staff have completed the Gary Gray Gift Fellowship in functional biomechanics and have extensive training in manual therapy.
Our approach is to analyze, identify and correct abnormal movement compensations, neuromuscular patterns and musculoskeletal imbalances that can be the cause of pathology. By treating the causes as well as the symptoms, we normalize movement, enhance healing and prevent the re-occurrence of pain.
Biosports also provides an optimal clinical setting for healing by providing an environment of wellness where you will work side by side with others who are also working on their own road to recovery.
