Therapy Staff

Michael Hansen, M.P.T, A.T.C., O.C.S.
Michael graduated with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Chapman College in 1987, was certified as an Athletic Trainer in 1985, and received his B.S. in Physiology from U.C. Davis in 1983. He has worked with numerous amateur, college, and professional sports teams, specializes in gait analysis, sports biomechanics, and teaches orthotics. He has a strong manual therapy background and emphasizes a functional approach to rehabilitation.

Ruth Mahre, M.P.T., O.C.S.
Ruth Mahre, MPT, OCS grew up in the Cascade mountains of Central WA. She received her B.S. in Health Science from University of NV, Reno while on an alpine ski racing scholarship. In 1999 she obtained her MPT from the University of Puget Sound, WA. She became a board certified specialist in orthopaedics in 2006, and re-certified in 2016. She enjoys working with all age groups and injuries; and finds value in combining both manual therapy with functional exercise during each treatment session. Beyond the clinic, Ruth can be found with her family, working with the Mission Ridge Ski Team, or on a trail with her rescue-mutt.

Lyle McClune, M.P.T., O.C.S.
Lyle attended Brigham Young University where he graduated with a B.S. Degree in Exercise Science and received his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Baylor University in 1994. His service as a Physical Therapist in the US Navy working with Marines and Sailors gave him extensive experience in musculo-skeletal screening and post-operative rehabilitation. His treatment plans emphasize therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and soft tissue mobilization.

Marci Peterson, M.P.T., O.C.S.
Marci graduated with a Bachelors degree in Biology from Washington State University and received her Masters in Physical Therapy from Andrews University in Ohio. She is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist and is a Teaching Assistant for the North American Institute of Manual Therapists. Marci spends her spare time with her family cycling and snow and water skiing. She is also an avid runner.

Mandy Cafmeyer, D.P.T., O.C.S.
Mandy graduated in 2004 with a Bachelors degree in Applied Biology from Ferris State University in Michigan and enjoyed playing collegiate soccer for 4 years. She earned her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Florida and completed coursework and testing for certification in manual therapy. Mandy enjoys distance running, especially on trails, and has completed nearly 20 marathons/ultra-marathons. She's always looking for a physical challenge and when not running on trails, she can be found cycling, hiking, or just enjoying the outdoors in any way possible.

Dustin Smart, D.P.T.
Dustin is a Wenatchee Valley native who grew up competing in individual and team sports, which led him to an appreciation of the human movement; injury recovery, prevention and sports performance. After graduating from Central Washington University in 2007 with a B.S. in Biology and Spanish he pursued his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy at A.T. Still University. Since then he has become of Fellow of Applied Functional Science with the Gray Institute and taken hundreds of hours of course work in manual physical therapy. The combination of which allows him to assist patients of all ages and abilities, including college, professional and Olympic level athletes to live their best lives through restored functional movement. He believes creating an environment that allows the body the ability to heal itself is the key to successful physical therapy. Dustin is dedicated to the performance enhancement of all patients independent of skill, age, and rehabilitation goals.

Brendan Wilson, M.P.T.
Brendan received his Bachelor's of Health and Rehabilitation Science in 2011 from California State University, Fresno, his Masters of Physical Therapy in 2013 from California State University, Fresno, and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy through Evidence in Motion in 2015. He has completed a Fellowship in Applied Functional Science with the Gray Institute in 2018, along with certification in vestibular rehabilitation in 2019. Brendan grew up hiking, snowboarding, mountain biking, and surfing in locations all over the United States and has an extensive and varied background that includes working as a wildland firefighter, physical therapist aide, personal trainer, and a water aerobics instructor. Following multiple athletic injuries and chronic health issues that led to physical therapy treatment, he became passionate about prevention and rehabilitation of physical dysfunction. Brendan enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and friends hiking, fishing, or snowboarding.

Annie Nelson, P.T., O.C.S., C.W.S.
Annie grew up on the west side of the state, graduating from Western Washington University with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. She then attained her Master's in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 2000. She and her family moved to North Central Washington in 2005 where her early practice was spent in pediatrics and wound care. Annie now practices primarily in outpatient orthopedics, and earned her Orthopedic Certification in 2014. She enjoys working with all ages, especially young athletes and spends as much time as she can alpine skiing, running, playing soccer, and spending time with her family.

Greg Gillum, D.P.T.
Greg grew up in the Wenatchee Valley playing sports and enjoying the outdoors. After attending several schools along the way, he ultimately received his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Eastern Washington University, and then pursued his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Northern Arizona University. He first gained an interest in Physical Therapy while receiving treatment during high school after a shoulder injury playing football. While receiving his education his interest grew after working as a personal trainer and group class instructor for several years. He now enjoys helping individuals reach their full potential and return to activity that they enjoy. During his free time Greg enjoys spending time with his family, and playing recreational sports such as slow pitch softball.

Carmen Dooley, P.T.A.
Carmen Dooley earned her B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science from Western Washington University in 1997 and her Physical Therapist Assistant degree in 2009. Her special interests include aquatic Therapy, pediatrics and orthopedic injuries of all ages. Carmen enjoys spending her free time with her family, running and enjoying the outdoors.

Stephanie Purcell, P.T.A.
Stephanie Purcell received her bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Utah State University and her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Spokane Falls Community College. She has worked primarily in outpatient orthopedic settings since 2001. Stephanie enjoys hiking, camping, ATV’ing and discovering all the great things to do in the great Pacific Northwest.

Jillian Loebsack, P.T.A.
Jillian grew up in Waterville competing in volleyball, basketball, and softball. A high school sports injury resulting in physical therapy treatment ignited her interest in the field. She attained her Bachelor's of Science degree in exercise science from Eastern Washington University in 2010 and continued her education with the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Spokane Falls Community College graduating with honors in 2013. While attending PTA school, she was an active member of the program's club for two years. In Jillian's spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends; camping, dirt bike riding, hunting, and any activity outdoors.

Eric Malmassari, P.T.A.
Eric Graduated from Central Washington University in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, and his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Whatcom Community College in 2009. Eric has spent the past 15 years working in an outpatient orthopedic clinic as a PT Aide and Physical Therapist Assistant. Eric is an avid cyclist who enjoys mountain biking, road biking and cyclocross racing, but first and foremost spending time with his family traveling and enjoying the outdoors.

Alanna Peterson, P.T.A.
Alanna grew up in the Pacific Northwest playing a variety of sports and spending time in the outdoors. She was led to the practice of physical therapy when her career as a yoga instructor inspired her to work in a holistic branch of healthcare. She earned her degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Pima Medical Institute in Seattle in 2017 and has a growing background in the Women's Health branch of physical therapy. In her spare time, Alanna enjoys spending time with loved ones, backpacking, trail running, climbing and mountain biking.

Sabrina Tomasi Lloyd, P.T.A.
Sabrina grew up in northeastern Italy and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Verona. While traveling and connecting to people with different nationalities and cultural backgrounds she began to volunteer in programs such as adaptive sports and youth recreational activities. She moved to the states in 2014 and graduated from Whatcom Community College in 2020 with her Physical Therapist Assistant degree. Sabrina loves to spend time with her family and friends, rock climbing, mountain biking, and skiing. She is enjoying her new mountain home- much like she did in the mountains of Italy.

Brooks Ann Boreson, L.M.P.
Brooks Ann Boreson, LMP finished her massage therapy training in Seattle, WA, in 1993. She has experience in many different environments including spa, chiropractic and physical therapy. Brooks has worked closely with the Physical Therapists at Biosports for several years and continues to be an integral piece in the progression of patients with her manual therapy skills. Brooks other interests include spending time with her family, traveling and soaking in the sun.

Eddie Edwards, L.M.P.
Eddie Edwards, LMP attained his State License and his National Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in 2004. His therapy experience has been in his own private practice, and therapeutic and spa environments. Eddie's continuing education includes deep tissue, Swedish, Positional Release, Muscle Energy, Reflexology, and Medical Massage. His work is complimented by his 25 plus years of athletic training primarily related to tri-athlete events. Eddie is a two time Ironman California and Ironman Canada finisher.

Office Manager
Rachel relocated from Huntington Beach, CA and joined the Biosports team in 2001. She has an AA in Business Administration and has 19 years of experience in the medical management field.
As the office manager, Rachel manages day to day operations ensuring that Biosports runs smoothly. Her primary goal is to coordinate office and clinical staff to create an environment where patients receive the best care in the valley.
Outside of work, Rachel loves hiking, running and spending time with her husband Tony and 2 sons, Jace and Corbin.
